Hearts and happy 2010 to yous. It’s been a fun year for us here at Don’t Die Wondering and we’re very happy to celebrate the beginning of a new one with this first offering, hopefully with many more to come. This compilation that we’ve lovingly put together comes on an actual CD that you can cruise around with on your Discman, augmented by beautiful fold-out artwork made by our friends at Crabwolf illustration collective, as well as some personal notes by the artists themselves.

We’ve decided to focus on artists from the UK for this one, and like to view the tracks on it as offering an enjoyable sum-up of the multi-layered, often juxtaposed trends, tendencies and occasional hints of the future we were witness to in alternative UK music this year, as well as a taste of the work of many new and exciting acts, some I’m guessing we’ll be hearing much more of soon enough.

Altogether, I think it’s real nice, but then again anyone would say that after hand-packaging a couple hundred!
