Topaz Rags

Sounding like the perfect accompaniment to an old-school detective movie featuring lots of nudity, this track packs such an uber-atmosphere it leaves a thin trail of cigarette smoke behind it, with its emotional and haunting jazzy-blues shuffle painted in almost shamanistic colors. There’s definitely an influence here from fellow Californians such as Pocahaunted and Sun Araw, in that awesomely vamped Echo Park sound.
