Don't Die Wondering

Paleman

Manchester producer Palemans’ tracks hinge predominantly on skeletal 4/4 stomps, used as a fluid palette on which to mount shifting rhythmic layers of daintily metallic percussion and club-ready, icy techno stabs. The result, such as on Sun Dance, is both magnetically groove-laden and ambiguously pensive. Look out for a debut 12” on startup Manchester electronic label Fulcrum, which, judging by their tantalizingly eclectic and smoothly crafted inaugural mix, will be a label to keep an eye out for this year.
